Holi! the festival of Colors

Bura Na Mano, Holi Hai (Don’t mind, its Holi)

Colours, water, music, sweets, dance, games, bhaang and a lot of energy and fun. Yep guys! am talking about Holi. I don’t think there is any other festival that is so much loved and enjoyed by people in India or any other part of the world. And if you think am overtaken by the colour of love for this festival, then you are right. But there is no chance am boasting about this.
Talk about festivals and colours and the first word that would come out of any Indian’s mouth is gonna be Holi, and I can bet on it. With coloured faces all around, aroma of those mouth watering dishes, fragrance of the scented gulaal, water drenched dancing people and the tunes of holi dedicated Bollywood songs dissolving in your ears, there can’t be a better place or day to enjoy with your friends and family.

Holi, the festival of colours is celebrated throughout India with unmatched enthusiasm on the full moon day in the month of March. Indians, irrespective of region, religion, age and sex celebrate this festival. Holi is the the time to do all the stuff which at other times are usually not allowed and might be offensive. For young boys and girls its like a festival of craziness. They spend the day dancing, playing, flirting, eating and colouring everyone they can in the streets. Throwing colours and squirting coloured water on passers-by, dunking friends in pool of water, mud and sometimes drains too amidst teasing and laughter, getting high on bhaang and alcohol with companions is perfectly acceptable. You can get away with almost anything with that simple phrase “Bura Na Mano Holi Hai

Sharing with you some moments of the festival here.
